Versioning and changelog

The URI major is /api/v1. This portal pins OpenAPI version 1.0.0-draft. It is not a released v1 API. Download the exact reference; its SHA-256 is shown there.

Compatibility direction

Specs and SDKs use semantic versions. Within a major, do not remove or rename fields, change units or meaning, add required request fields, or silently widen private responses. Optional response additions require tolerant consumers. Request enums are closed; future response enum values must not be interpreted as new authority.

Breaking changes to fields, semantics or required scopes move to a new URI major. The proposed support overlap is at least 12 months after successor general availability and published migration guidance, with registered-consumer migration evidence before ordinary shutdown. Dated deprecation and Sunset notices will accompany a real retirement plan. Narrow security exceptions require owner/security approval. No retirement date or availability commitment is published yet.

Signed POS device schemas have a separate proposed 90-day minimum; that policy does not shorten the public API overlap.

Three reads and delegated ordinary manual journal-draft creation defined for review. No provider deployment is implied.

The bootstrap spec will be replaced by a reviewed ginum-api-contracts release. Generated reference pages are outputs, not a second contract.
